As much as 1.15 million MWh worth of electricity was traded on the Bilateral Contracts Centralised Market in the first seven months of this year, show figures made public by the Energy Market Operator OPCOM on its Web site.
The energy was sold to the Power Plants of Turceni, Rovinari and Craiova (southern Romania) and to the Electrical Thermal Power Plant of Bacau (eastern Romania) at prices ranging between 130 lei and 195.80 lei per MWh.
The largest quantity of energy was sold in July to the Rovinari Energy Complex at 408,800 MWh under three contracts for prices of 192.82, 195.80 and 195 lei per MWh respectively.
The lowest quantity was sold in April at 51,257 MWh, the OPCOM announced.
